Even though the ITI Scottish Network Summer Workshop on 2 June 2018 in Melrose is almost 7 months away, it is not too early to start thinking about where you want to stay! Our host town, Melrose in the Scottish Borders, is a very pretty village with a lot of tourists and gets booked up fast. If you are planning or hoping to come, do consider booking early, and preferably before all the convenient accommodation has gone. A list of hotels can be found below.

How to achieve the best possible relationship with your clients (the good and the bad), to mutual benefit. And hearing the client’s side of the story!
As usual the workshop weekend will start on Friday evening with an informal meal; Saturday is taken up with the all-day workshop, followed in the evening by a dinner and ceilidh; and on Sunday there will be a walk and/or visit to a local place of interest, finishing with an informal lunch before the last delegates disperse.
Melrose is well served by buses from Edinburgh and the Borders Railway runs a regular service with connecting bus from the station to Melrose. Travel time by train or private car is around 1 hour.
Hotels
Burts Hotel: a historic building on the main street with a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and very highly rated food. Pleasant bedrooms. The dining rooms and bar area are atmospheric. Only a small number of rooms remaining (6 December 2017)
The King's Arms: Small, cosy hotel (only 7 rooms), but with options for delegates to share.
The George and Abbotsford: Large hotel, somewhat shabby, with mixed reviews.
The Station Hotel: Single rooms from £65, doubles from £85
