ITI Scottish Network Newsletter | June 2020

Community spirit

“Normal” is a word we find ourselves saying a lot these days. If things had been “normal”, I would perhaps have been writing this editorial between throwing things into my bag for our ScotNet trip to Shetland. Sadly, it wasn’t to be – but we’re already looking forward to rearranging, and we’re extremely grateful to Shetland resident Birgit Wagner for all the preparation and scouting work she managed to do.

As I always find with this newsletter, however, ScotNetters never fail to lift spirits and provide food for thought. You’ll find plenty of that in this issue, with contributions from Alison, Rebecca, Tim, Isabel and Kay on everything from surviving lockdown to making sure our IT systems and businesses are running smoothly.

And there’s even some nice reminiscing of past events (our AGM and spring workshop) that we did manage to hold before coronavirus hit – whetting our appetite for things to come, perhaps!

I hope you enjoy this issue – take care and stay well.
