| Profile | I work as an in-house translator for a small team of German > English translators based in Manchester (although I work off-site in Edinburgh). We specialist in technical and commercial fields including industrial automation, domestic and commercial electrical products, and mechanical engineering. I have been working as a translator since 2006 and, in addition to holding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in languages and translation, I am a qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (MITI). I am also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and a Chartered Linguist (Translator). I am a recipient of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting’s John Hayes Prize for excellence in translation, and the Association of Translation Companies’ Translator of the Year Award. |
