SUMMARY:Spring Workshop 2022 | Time Management
DESCRIPTION:Time management\nAre you always short of time? Do essential tas
ks get left to the last minute or even run over schedule? Do you feel that
you use your time efficiently\, or have you the feeling that chunks of it
get wasted on unimportant or unrewarding activities?\n\nWe all have a ran
ge of tasks to combine\, both in our work life and\, especially as freelan
cers\, in juggling our work with our private life. Lydia Marquardt has bee
n investigating and studying this topic in her own 12-year career as a ful
l-time freelancer and\, in this workshop\, will present both the general b
ackground to what constitutes “good” time management and examples of s
pecific time management techniques. Her presentations will include break-o
ut groups to allow us to gather ideas and apply the theory to our own situ
ations.\n\nAfter the coffee break\, a number of ScotNetters will share the
ir experience of working with one or more of these techniques prior to the
workshop. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Lydia by email
at lydia.marquardt@qdt-translations.co.uk (cc Lynda Hepburn) to discuss po
tential exercises to trial. Feedback to the workshop will highlight succes
ses and failures with applying time management techniques.\n\nThe workshop
will end with further group work to incorporate feedback and insights fro
m both sessions to “refine” your own plans.\n\nTo angle her presentati
on to best suit participants\, Lydia invites you to fill in a quick online
survey of your needs and questions via this link: https://www.surveymonke
